Daily Inspiration To Thrive Abroad Vol. 1

I’m on a mission with @TravelRadio.live to inspire as many of you as possible to travel, explore, go beyond your perceived limitations and thrive. With this goal in mind, over the course of the next couple of months, I’ll be sharing with you bite size pieces of inspiration for you to thrive wherever you are, whatever your circumstances, wherever you’re going next.

As a Coach as well as a digital nomad and a long-term expat, I can assure you that you can pursue your dreams and travel the world, you can pursue your career and still work to your strengths instead of doing what is expat or nomad friendly, and you can pursue your passion and lead a fulfilled and meaningful life when you know you have unlocked your potential and every day you wake up energised and motivated to do what brings meaning and purpose to your life.

Sometimes you are in that headspace and believe it possible. On some other occasions, it might sound too beautiful to be true and in those moments I will be there to support you every step of the way.

I have been on the road for 20 years and have experienced the good and the bad of the on-the-go lifestyle as a nomad, expat and a traveller. I have tons of stories to share, hoping that they will serve you in one way or another. I will talk about everything you need to know to set yourself up for success and thrive. I will discuss taking the decision to move abroad, settle down, move on or move back. I will cover working abroad, whether you are a remote worker, a freelancer, or you have a stable job or perhaps you are setting up your own business.

I will dive into the emotional struggles of living away from your family and friends and provide you with tips on how to nurture your social life in your new home, so you can allow yourself to make new friendships and fall in love with your life.

I will talk about my different roles in life and my personal story of becoming. Becoming an au pair, an Erasmus student, a waitress, a salsa dancer, a yogi, a passionate runner, a Maybe Theatre Company actress, a mom, an entrepreneur, a marathoner, a mourner after my dad passed away.

I will take you on a journey through all possible ups and downs, highs and lows, struggles and challenges I have overcome as well the wins and gains I have celebrated and am proud of.

Most importantly, I will give you invaluable insights into the challenges we, expats, are facing, taking into account my professional experiences as a coach, talent manager, corporate trainer, learning & development consultant, teacher and a lecturer. I have been blessed to accompany expats on their journey and l help them better navigate their reality:

- managing constant uncertainty when it is not the fuel anymore but a block

- finding balance, staying on track and accountable in the midst of all the ambiguity

- regaining focus and clarity in the midst of the ever changing status quo

- choosing a direction when there is no final destination

- finding a meaning in the leaving and coming

- unlocking true potential and much more...
