When repatriation is an easy decision...

I am so grateful I was able to spend Easter with my little family next to my numerous family this year. It was not always possible during my 20 years abroad.

“Aren't you afraid to move back home, Lucy?”

Many people asked me this question on learning I was moving back to Poland.

To me repatriation is not going back. Repatriation is moving. It is moving onto the next stage in life which will be followed by the next one. Here or somewhere else.

@Liene Ozola, a dear friend and a recruitment business owner, commented that she really likes how I point out that it is moving to the next stage, not moving backwards. That is what many are afraid of or see it as.

“Mindset is so powerful”

@Lesley Hossner, a language specialist, sees my views as "a great reframe - you're not the same person as you were when you left. It's another new start!". Absolutely, a new leaf!

If home is where the heart is, repatriation can be an easy decision!

What are you moving onto next?
